Aisling Bea

Aisling is a popular Irish comedian who has been around for some time. Her birthplace was in Kildare Ireland on 16th March 1984. The comedian has appeared on QI together alongside Stephen Fry. Aisling O'Sullivan, better known as the stage name Aisling Bea (born on 16 March 1984), is an Irish writer, actress and stand-up comic. After appearing in bit parts on a number of Irish and British television shows since 2009 Bea began her stand-up comedian in 2011. In 2012, she was frequently performing on sketch comedy shows and sitcoms. In the wake of her success during the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, she was invited to appear on a number of panel show. In 2016 through 2017, she served as a captain for 8 Out of 10 Cats and a regular contestant in the show's sequel 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She was the child of Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead is the younger of her siblings. She was only the second ever female winner of So You Think You're Funny. Bea was awarded the award in memory of her father. Aisling Cliodhnadh, O'Sullivan is an Kildare born girl. She was born March 16th 1984. Bea's father Brian passed away at age three. He was an equine vet. Bea wasn't told the particulars of his death before she reached the age of 13. In 2017, she published an article in The Guardian about the suicide of her father's family and adopted her stage name Bea in tribute. Bea was raised alongside her younger sister Sinead with Helen Moloney. Helen is a secondary instructor, trainer of jockeys, and a former professional racer. The family was awed by horses, race meetings as well as the race industry. When she was a child, Bea worked as an assistant tour guide in the Irish National Stud however she realized at an early stage that she was not attracted to the race industry as a career and instead loved performing.
